About Us
DGT Services Ltd was established in 1986 operating from East Hanningfield Industrial Estate near Chelmsford. The company was appointed an "approved repairer" by the DHSS (Department of Health and Social Security), authorised to service and repair DHSS owned wheelchairs and associated equipment.
In 1989 DGT Services was awarded its first NHS wheelchair repair, maintenance and refurbishment contract through a newly introduced tendering process and were appointed an NHS Approved Contractor.
The company has grown and currently holds several NHS contracts, including those first awarded in 1989. We have achieved this through working closely with our partners and clients and maintaining a high level of commitment, while always continuing to develop and improve our service.
This has been achieved by working closely with the BSI (British Standard Institute), achieving our ISO 9001 certification in 2000 and employing our own in house Quality Manager, who conducts regular audits on every aspect of the business and services provided. DGT Services Ltd currently employ 45 full time and additional part-time personnel operating from premises on Chelmsford’s Dukes Park Trading Estate, with an additional 20,000 sq ft workshop, storage and distribution centre at Sandon.
In addition to fulfiling contracts for several NHS Trusts, DGT Services Ltd also have a subsidiary, Maple Mobility. Maple Mobility was established to provide a broad range of mobility equipment including mobility vehicles, level access showers, wet rooms and special needs kitchens. Our factory trained staff offer clinical assessments with demonstration on all mobility products and a design/installation service on all special needs bathing solutions and kitchens.
We have a showroom at our Dukes Park premises, where we display a comprehensive range of equipment including powered wheelchairs, scooters, wet room and a special needs kitchen.
